Bend Cell Set-Up
Straight day shift 6:30am-3:00pm

fischer Canada is seeking a Bend Cell Set-Up Person to join our maintenance team.

Bend Cell Set-Up is responsible for programming and setting up machinery according to customer specifications and maintaining machines.

Your responsibilities

• Adhere to fischer Candas Health and Safety program and Policies.
• Follow production processes and required quality inspections as documented on work orders and process sheets.
• Obtain tooling order from Tool Room.
• Perform tooling maintenance and consumable replacements as required.
• Perform mechanical tool changes on automatic bending machines and secondary equipment at workstations.
• Program and/or program modifications to CNC bending machines, robots and any other equipment required at the secondary operations.
• Troubleshooting production equipment for calibration, machine malfunctions and optimization.
• Work closely with bend cell operators to maintain production and quality requirements.
• Train and/or assist bend cell operators on basic operations of benders, robots, automatic loaders and secondary equipment.
• Communicate production status(s) with shift supervisors daily.
• Additional duties as required.

Your profile

• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3-6 months manufacturing experience
• Basic knowledge of tooling/tools and mechanically inclined.
• Good math skills; including correct use of measurement tools.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Demonstrated commitment to working.
• Self-motivated, able to work with limited supervision.
• Good dexterity.
• Attention to detail.
